Senior Infrastructure Engineer | New York | $150,000 - $190,000 per year

Want to work on greenfield projects, focused on modernizing infrastructure? Our client is currently in the midst of migrating their infrastructure from legacy private cloud servers onto AWS.

Due to continued growth of the business and success of the project our client is seeking a talented Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join the team.

The role

An interesting time to join as the business goes through an infrastructure transition to the cloud, in this case, AWS.

A smaller team means you will be getting your hands dirty across various areas within infrastructure, wearing many hats. If you don't like variety, this probably won't be right for you.

At the core, you will be relied upon for you scripting abilities with working with Python, Bash and Linux; making things happen across the infrastructure estate. Outside of your usual BAU stuff, you will also be dabbling in Security, Network, DevOps and more.

The Essentials

• You will need to have experience in all things NIX (Linux, Unix etc.)

• Experience working with Openstack

• Strong scripting skills in Python or Bash

• Good understanding of AWS

It would be perfect if you also had

• An understanding of containerization with Docker and Kubernetes

• Experience with Infrastructure as code tooling such as CloudFormation, Saltstack or Terraform

• Experience of moving an infrastructure estate to AWS.

• Wider exposure to Networking and Security
